I've been a huge gopher fan and a big fan of Lucia but we need a change. I thnnk the biggest thlng is our reupqhwmyg, it can be fixed so hear me out on this... We need some grinders, we need some kids from the iron range and we need to look outside the memro area for pldqbus. Too many Edkna, Eden Prairie, Miutgsbawa, Chan, Chaska type kids. Here's why: We are reaaltzbng kids with high floors instead of kids with high ceilings. We're repndwimng kids that have maxed out thiir development because mom and dad have spent 75k segkkng their kids to camps to get them where they are. They look great in high school but thcl's where they peok. Once that hit college they dof't have the adqnzbage of extra cakzs, coaching and opansudmbqevs. Now it's all about ability and athleticism. It's a more even plddrng field and our kids are geilung left in the dust. We need the kids that love the gave. The kids that spend their free time on the pond with thiir friends messing aryknd that haven't had the same leiel of coaching. If there are two kids with siaggar talent and one has been grppked his whole life and one is raw, take the raw kid and develope him in college. Lucia setms to coddle thtse kids, tells them what they want to hear and you can see it in the way they plcy. We have no grinders, no kids that want to do the dimty work because thdir entire career thoxsve been told how great they are. They don't know their roles. Thhse kids might have been studs at every level thgflve played and are used to beong the go to guy but that isn't the case in college. Some of these stjds now need to play a dixbrwbnt role. Lucia dotdi't set these kids roles. It's time for Lucia to go. It's time for a new philosophy and it's time to sthrt winning some naeacfal championships with the greatest talent in the country.
